The Course
Overview
The course is parkland measuring 6813 yards, par 73, standard scratch 73, and can prove a real test of golf, particularly in windy conditions. All but 3 holes were part of the former opencast coal site and a large number of trees, conifers and shrubs have been planted. The course demands good straight drives and accurate iron play into tight and bunkered greens.
The facilities include generous
Practice areas
for putting, chipping and bunker shots and a separate practice area for general irons and woods practice.
